Professional Mosquito Control in Detroit & East Michigan

Mosquito Control is one of our most popular services in early summer.  Families want to enjoy their decks, pools, and yards, but when the mosquitoes move in, all the fun is chased away. Mosquito and ‘no-seeums’, especially in hordes, drives everyone away, except perhaps the person you’ve elected to be grill master.

Mosquitoes are more than just a nuisance, they can carry diseases. Granted, here in Michigan we’re not likely to see Malaria, but diseases such as West Nile Virus first started appearing in the US in 1999.  According to the Center for Disease Control, 80% of  people who are infected will not show any symptoms.  In 2004, 43 species of US mosquitos tested positive for West Nile. In 2009 there were 720 cases of West Nile and 32 fatalities.  In 2008 there were 1,356 cases and 124 fatalities.

For your families safety, make sure to sign up for our mosquito spraying services in Detroit and surrounding East Michigan communities, including service to  Ann Arbor, Farmington Hills, Bloomfield Hills, Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills, Taylor, Pontiac and Howell.

There are some DIY ways to reduce the potential of getting bitten by mosquitos.

They include:

  • Don’t Drink Beer – even one bottle can increase bites
  • Stay Indoors during a Full Moon – mosquitos 500 times more active at Full Moon
  • Wash Your Feet and Wear Socks – Stinky Feet and Ankles are preferred targets
  • Wear Dull Colors – mosquitos like black and red and shy away from green and khaki
  • Don’t Get Pregnant – mom’s to be more likely to get bitten
  • Don’t Breathe Out – carbon dioxide attracts mosquitos
  • Move Away – Only Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Utah and Oregon have not reported West Nile cases

For many of us, most of these methods aren’t do-able. For everyone else, we offer professional mosquito spraying in the Detroit area, and here is how our three-step mosquito treatment works:

STEP 1 – TAKE BACK YOUR YARD

We spray a fine mist over the entire lawn and landscape.  The mist kills all of the mosquitoes that are currently on the property.

STEP 2 – PROTECT FROM NEW INVADERS

A residue spray is left on the leaves and foliage that will kill new mosquitoes that enter your lawn and land on these plants.  Note: This will not kill mosquitoes that fly in after the treatment and do not land.

STEP 3 – REPEAT TREATMENTS

We will return to your home every 2 to 3 weeks from April through September to re-spray for extended mosquito control.

We have found that our mosquito spraying system reduces mosquitoes by 90% and improves backyard fun by 100%.
